Born in Los Angeles and raised in Southern California, Ms. Parsons spent her early life in Belmont Shore. Her family then resettled in Anaheim where the newly built Disneyland was her playground. After her early education in Orange County, she attended CSULB and UCI earning her BA, MA, and ultimately a teaching credential. At the same time, she raised a family and worked full-time in the burgeoning computer field. Realizing that she was a people-oriented person, she decided to make the leap to education in 1989 where she could utilize her experience, skills, and knowledge to inspire up-coming generations of students.
Ms. Parsons was welcomed to FVSD in 1992 after educating students in Garden Grove, Newport-Mesa, and Santa Ana. She enjoyed working twenty years at the Fred Moiola School, the last K-8 in Fountain Valley. Since Moiola’s closure in 2012, Ms. Parsons has continued to enlighten students at Fulton Middle School.
Continuing to be involved in all aspects of the educational system and advocating for the best learning experience and environment for the students in Fountain Valley, Ms. Parsons also serves on the Executive Board of Fountain Valley Educators Association.
