Welcome

As a child I dreamed of becoming a mermaid and living near the sea, but for the initial stages of my life, this was not to be. Instead, I studied hard, learned a lot of life's deep lessons and held a number of fun and rewarding jobs (including working for the LA Dodgers, the LA Galaxy and being a nanny for some truly amazing kids). The love and connection those children and I shared, inspired me to look into teaching. As new currents swirled into my life, I decided to return to University and obtain a teaching credential. I accepted my first teaching position in 2001 for the West Covina Unified School District. While that meant the end of free ball games, traveling with the team, and devoting my time to a few kids, I immediately discovered that helping kids learn, and sharing my love and energy with a larger, regenerative community, was my true place. Fountain Valley welcomed me in 2004, and I remain grateful for my connections and chance to teach in this special community. In my spare time I love playing with my family, swimming, lounging by the sea, baking, gardening, snowboarding and taking art classes.
