With the start of the 2015-2016 school year Mr. Johnson enters his fourteenth year in education. He began his career as an English Language Arts/Social Studies core teacher in Riverside, California where he worked for three years. After a two year contract as a curriculum developer at the high school level he returned to the middle school level at El Rancho Middle School in Anaheim Hills where he taught for two years then entered administration and served for the following five years as an ASB Director, CJSF Coordinator, Academic Pentathlon Coach, and Assistant Principal. In addition to a Bachelor's degree and teaching credential in English Language Arts, he also holds a Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Education and a Master of Science in Leadership from Pepperdine. He has also completed studies at both CSUF and UCI and is currently enrolled in doctoral studies at the University of Southern California. Mr. Johnson’s guiding educational philosophy is to make every decision according to “what is truly best for the students.” As an Orange County native Kevin was thrilled to join the Fountain Valley School District and is looking forward to an exciting school year.
